AI search optimisation: be cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
Your customers no longer only type keywords: they ask an assistant “who can rebuild my website in Geneva?” or “which restaurant is open on Sunday in Carouge?”. AI search optimisation, or GEO (generative engine optimisation), means being the source the assistant finds, understands and cites. It is part of our plans, and we measure it.
- A website the assistants’ robots can read
- Listed where they look
- What they say about you, recorded
How an assistant chooses whom to cite
For a local question, an assistant does not answer from memory: it runs searches on the web, reads a few pages, then writes its answer and cites its sources. ChatGPT relies on partner search engines and on its own robot, Gemini and Google’s AI overviews on Google’s index, Perplexity on its own index. Three practical consequences:
- A page that is missing from the search engines is almost never cited. AI search optimisation starts with traditional SEO: being indexed by Google and Bing, on fast, clear pages.
- The assistant cites the page that answers. A price, an area or a lead time written in one sentence is picked up; a page that says “contact us for a quote” is not.
- It cross-checks. The same name, address, telephone number and description on your website, your Google profile and the directories make your business identifiable. Comparison sites and directories, such as Sortlist, La Fabrique du Net, local.ch or search.ch, are among the most cited sources for questions about providers in Geneva.
What we do for your business
The basics are included from the Essentiel plan; monthly tracking comes with Visibilité and Croissance.
Doors open to the robots
A robots.txt file that welcomes the assistants’ search robots, an llms.txt file that summarises your business, and structured data: your activity, your services, your prices and your hours.
Direct answers
Each page answers in one sentence the question people really ask: how much, where, when, how long. That is the sentence the assistant picks up.
One identity
The same name, address and telephone number on your website, your Google profile and your directories, so that the assistant does not confuse your business with a namesake.
In the lists they read
Your listings in the directories and comparison sites of your trade, complete and accurate: they are often the ones the assistant opens before naming three providers.
Content worth citing
With Croissance, two pieces of content a month in each language of your website: the case study of a completed project, or a guide that answers your customers’ questions.
Measurement
With Visibilité, what the assistants say about you in your monthly report. With Croissance, five assistants asked five of your customers’ questions every month, with answers and sources kept.
What we measure on ourselves
We apply the method to our own website, and we measure it. From 28 to 30 October 2026, we tracked every day ChatGPT’s answers, asked from Geneva, to 15 customer questions: “which web agency should I choose in Geneva”, “how much does a brochure website cost”, “is there a monthly subscription website”…
- taolabs.ch is the most cited domain in those 45 answers: 16 answers, on 9 of the 15 questions, only one of which carries our name. Next come lafabriquedunet.ch, 15 answers, and ksadigital.ch, 8.
- The most cited page is a study. For “how much does it cost to create a brochure website in Geneva in 2026?”, ChatGPT’s first link on 30 October was our study of the prices of 105 providers: sourced figures, a method, a table.
- An answer changes from one day to the next. On the same 15 questions, ChatGPT named us in 6 answers on 28 October, 4 on 29 October and 2 on 30 October. A screenshot therefore proves nothing: only a repeated measurement, on the same questions, shows a trend.

SEO and GEO: two trades, one job
Search engine optimisation on Google, or SEO, aims for a place in a list of results; AI search optimisation aims for a mention in a written answer. Both feed on the same pages: a fast website, one page per service, verifiable facts, a consistent identity and third-party websites that talk about you. That is why we do not sell them separately.
For a shop, local SEO with the Visibilité plan covers the essentials: Google’s map, reviews, directories. For a service business, the Croissance plan adds monthly content, rank tracking and the measurement of the assistants. Our guide explains the method step by step.
Your questions about AI search optimisation
Does AI search optimisation replace Google SEO?
No, it adds to it. Assistants search the engines’ indexes before they answer: a page that Google and Bing do not know has almost no chance of being cited.
Can you pay to be cited by ChatGPT?
We sell neither advertising nor a guaranteed place, and we do not buy links. What the assistant cites depends on the pages it finds and how clear they are: that is where we work.
How long before I see an effect?
We promise neither a timescale nor a mention: each assistant decides alone. A published page is reported to the search engines the same day, then we record the answers to the same questions, month after month.
Which questions do you track?
Your customers’ questions, chosen with you: your trade and your municipality, your prices, your speciality, and your name. We keep every answer and its sources, to compare from one month to the next.
Let’s talk about your visibility.
We show you what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answer today about your business and your trade. Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm.
